The Academy of Art Annual Spring Show is an exhibit of outstanding work from all 28 majors. Acceptance into the Academy’s Spring Show is an honor awarded to the most successful works of the year.

                                 ONLINE SPRING SHOW 2015 SUBMISSIONS

                                           Spring Show Opening: Monday, May 18, 2015




   1.  Please save your images 72dpi

   2.  Make sure you have your full name, ID#, address and email address attached to the email.

      *All images need to be clearly labeled: with your full name, category, title, size & medium. 

                Image label example: AndersZorn_mfaportrait_SelfPortraitInRed_20x16_oil

       Please include this information along with the course, instructor, and sale price in a word document attached to your email submission.  (Work not for sale should be labeled NFS)

   3.  Please include 1 quality image of the piece and 1 detail image showing paint quality or detail

         in the print.  

   4Each entry needs to be sent separately, to the correct email addresses below (BFA or MFA),

         with its category entry, labeled in the subject area: (example:  BFA Contemporary Painting)

    5.  All work needs to be submitted by Midnight, Friday, April 17

All work will be judged online and students will be notified if their work has been accepted by Thursday, April 23rd.  Once you have been notified that you have been accepted into the Spring Show, all work must be shipped in time to be received by the Academy by Monday, May 11th.  The show will be hung on May 13th.  All work must have a professional quality frame, be wired, no glass, only plexi, and ready to hang for the exhibit.

Packaging must include prepaid return shipping label, photo of the artwork, with your name, ID#, phone number and address.  After the exhibit is over all artwork will be returned in the same shipping box, provided the above items are included.

A panel of industry professionals and Academy instructors completes the jurying of student work for the Academy’s Spring Show. The choices made by this panel for acceptance into the show are based on a combination of the varying tastes of the committee and those works that exemplify the highest quality in the department. Due to limited space some high quality work may not be chosen for the show. Acceptance into the Academy’s Spring Show is an honor awarded to the most successful works of the year. Participation in the Spring Show is a privilege. Although submission is encouraged, students should not expect their work to be chosen.
