Kevin Wueste, an instructor at the School of Fine Art Painting at Academy of Art University, drew every day as a child. In 2007, after a detour as an executive in the software field, Wueste enrolled at Academy of Art University to learn a craft that he truly loved: painting. He was taught by artists and instructors, such as Henry Yan, Tomutsu Takeshima and Ruben Deanda. During the summer months, he has studied with artists Tony Ryder, Camie Davis, Robert Liberace, Glen Orbik and many of the excellent instructors from the Grand Central Academy.
In 2012, Wueste was awarded the Top Student Award for Fine Art at Academy of Art Univeristy and was featured in the Strokes of Genius drawing-book series. In addition, his work has appeared in the books, The Art of Vanitas and in Pintura Sem Misterio. His paintings are shown at Rehs Gallery in New York City and many galleries on the West Coast. His works are also owned by collectors in the U.S. and abroad.
